One simple yet powerful element we love incorporating into workspaces is plant life (otherwise known as biophilic design). Here’s why:
Plants act as natural air purifiers, removing toxins and releasing oxygen. Although the magnitude of the effects on an indoor environment is widely debated, biophilic design has been shown to reduce headaches, fatigue, and respiratory issues (1).
Studies have shown that greenery in the office can boost productivity by up to 15% (2). The presence of plants reduces stress and creates a more relaxing atmosphere, allowing employees to focus better and work more efficiently.
A touch of nature can stimulate creativity. The natural colours and shapes of plants can inspire innovative thinking and problem-solving, making them a valuable addition to any workspace.
4. Enhancing Positive Mental Wellbeing:
Plants have been proven to reduce anxiety and improve mood. Having greenery around can make employees feel calmer and happier, which contributes to a more positive workplace culture (3).
