Situated on the 4th floor of Churchgate House in Manchester, Workplace offer premium shared workspace, from individual hot desking to private office and event space.
Workplace’s ethos has always been to create the most personalised coworking space, with a focus on outstanding customer service.
Delivery
Being a listed building, Churchgate House comes with unique challenges and design considerations, as well as certain restrictions with it being a live building. We had to carefully coordinate any noisy works out of hours to ensure other customers in the building weren’t affected, as well as Workplace’s own residents.
We took the project from Stage 2 to completion and worked hard to value engineer the scheme to a tight budget, saving the client more than £20k. To achieve this, the FF&E team reupholstered existing furniture with the new scheme and reused all existing furniture as well as incorporating some new pieces to the entrance area.
The result
The new and larger lounge area has created more revenue for the business as the capacity for individual hot-desking has increased, as well as the extra two private offices already occupied by clients. By moving the kitchen location, the space now feels larger and more open whilst still providing the homely and luxurious feel that Workplace have always strived to create for their customers.
