Bruntwood – Tech Firm CAT B
We worked against a challenging programme to deliver this incredible 30,000 sqft CAT B scheme across three floors at Bruntwood SciTech’s No.2 Circle Square in just 12 weeks onsite.
Brief
Wellness, community and openness were at the forefront of this turnkey scheme. Special consideration was to be given to the acoustics, AV system, and the building itself. Being a live tenanted building it was important to have controlled access routes as well as undertaking works with minimal disruption.
How we delivered
We worked with the client and design team to develop the concept of the company’s flexible and collaborative workspace over a number of workshops and sample days.
Special consideration was given to the spaces’ acoustic performance with a combination of specialist wall finishes, ceiling hung rafts and baffles, and curtains to create flexible divisions.
The bespoke joinery package across the 3 floors was extensive and included all kitchen and hospitality points, tiered seating spaces and an impressive pavilion collaboration space.
We coordinated the full M&E delivery as well as meeting the customer’s requirements for security and AV integration.
On site coordination and delivery was particularly challenging with the Circle Square development being a live, tenanted building and having restricted access routes for contractors. We liaised with the building’s management team on a daily basis to ensure requirements were being met, and also appointed designated delivery marshals for both the fitout and furniture elements. Maintaining a good relationship with both the building management and other contractors on site throughout.
The result
A space which is both familiar and calming, using natural tones and finishes.
The space will safely accommodate their growing teams whilst encouraging collaboration and innovation.
The bespoke and feature lighting scheme is dynamic and interesting, and sits well alongside our practical yet comfortable furniture package, with the dressing package bringing warmth to the overall finish.
