As part of the overarching £4.5million scheme we developed in this building, we created a home for Climat restaurant on the roof space at Blackfriars House.
The brief
With substantial investment being put into the Blackfriars House development, Bruntwood tasked us with utalising the extensive roof space to build a new vertical extension, forming a 3000sqft restaurant, outdoor seating area, gardens, and terrace.
How we delivered
To enable better access to the new restaurant, we converted a loading bay into a dedicated ground floor entrance and lift, built the vertical extension structure, fit the extension out with kitchen, bar, and dining area, before finally dressing and furnishing the restaurant, terrace, garden, and outdoor seating area.
The result
A home for Climat, the wine-led restaurant and bar. This space has beautiful views over the city, which are showcased through the huge glass panel walls of the restaurant.
The terrace and garden area is the perfect place to spend time in the sun in the city centre, away from the noisy streets.
